(b): The value of textiles exported (product-wise) during the said period is attached as Annexure-I & Annnexure-1-A.
(c): The details of countries importing textiles from India in large amount are USA, China, UAE, UK, Bangladesh, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey and Spain. A Statement indicating details of top 10 countries importing textiles from India is attached at Annexure-II
(d): The details of funds released and utilized by the Textiles Export Promotion Councils during the year 2012-13 to 2015-16 under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) and Market Development Assistance (MDA) Schemes to encourage the textiles export are as given below:-

(e): Government is implementing Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS), Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme, Market Development Assistance (MDA) Scheme for encouraging the export of textiles. Government is also running the Textile Workers’ Rehabilitation Fund Scheme with the objective to provide interim relief to textile workers rendered unemployed as a consequence of permanent closure of any particular portion or entire textile units. Assistance under the Scheme is payable to eligible workers only for the purpose of enabling them to settle in another employment.

(a) whether the Government has fixedany
target for the export of textiles duringeach of the last three years and the
currentyear and if so, the targets fixed andachievements made during the said
period;
(b) the quantum and value of
textilesmanufactured and exported during the saidperiod, product-wise;
(c) the details of countries importingthe
textiles from India in large amount;
(d) the funds allocated, released
andutilized to encourage the textiles exportduring the above period; and
(e) the schemes being implemented
forencouraging the export of textiles and thesteps taken/being taken by the
Governmentfor the protection of textile workers whoare facing problems in the
country due toslow down in the textiles sector?
